Bath Christmas Market calls local traders to apply for 2010 event

Local businesses who can offer quality and unique products to sell at the Bath Christmas Market are being encouraged to apply for the 2010 event.  The organisers, Bath Tourism Plus, are extending the market this year to run for 18 days and are searching for new traders to keep the popular event fresh and exciting for visitors.

The Bath Christmas Market attracts around 225,000 visitors from all over the UK.  The event has grown to become one of the most well respected Christmas markets in the UK and last year was voted the 4^th best in Europe by users of http://www.christmasmarkets.com/.  To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Bath Tourism Plus is planning to make the Bath Christmas Market even bigger and better than ever.

Victoria Spriggs, event manager at Bath Tourism Plus says: “As the Christmas Market is being extended there is an opportunity for more traders to get involved and we’re encouraging new retailers to apply for stalls at this year’s event.  The focus is on local products and businesses so we’re really keen to hear from potential traders in and around Bath”.

Set in the centre of the bustling city centre retail area, against a stunning backdrop of the famous Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, the 2010 market will consist of 137 wooden chalets, occupied by retailers offering high quality goods for sale for the festive season.

All traders must complete an application for a chalet - with preference given to local, handmade or fair-trade products.  The team who select the retailers are also keen to ensure a good mix of high quality products including Christmas decorations, gifts, toys, jewellery, clothing and food products, all at a range of prices.
