Wiltshire businesses looking to expand overseas will have the opportunity to tap into invaluable expertise at a seminar later this month.
The UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) South West ‘Exporting for Growth’ event will be held on 22 June at Alexandra House in Swindon, and will highlight the importance of international trade for economic growth.
Chaired by John Glen, MP for Salisbury, the seminar will illustrate the potential rewards for exporters. The programme will include speakers who will advise on how to set about doing business overseas and provide guidance on the support available to small and medium companies across the region looking to grow their business internationally.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to hear first hand from local businesses which have continued to grow and succeed in the current economic climate by exporting. The event will culminate in a Q&A panel discussion with the day’s speakers.
UKTI South West regional director, Russell Jones, said:
“There is a huge demand for quality British products, services and expertise in all corners of the world and research shows that a growing number of SMEs in the South West have increased their export levels.
“Targeting the right export markets is essential for overseas success and that’s where UKTI and our partner organisations can provide invaluable support to help the region’s businesses flourish overseas. This event is a great introduction for organisations looking to take advantage of the many international opportunities out there.”
