A new series of free environmental workshops entitled 'Go Green Bristol' have recently launched with great success.
Eligible businesses who attend the workshop will gain valuable information including how to take the first steps towards greening your business, how to measure usage and target savings, how to publicise environmental improvements to customers and suppliers, and it also gives business owners an opportunity to network with like-minded people. Delegates will also be given a free goody bag to help make environmental savings - including a sat nav or energy monitor.
The Go Green Bristol workshop contains details of funding available such as the Improving Your Resource Efficiency grants which have helped many businesses in the South West including Bristol precision plastic engineers FR Warren.
Robert Burden, managing director of FR Warren said "Business West helped us with funding towards new cutting equipment and an environmental management system to the ISO 14001 standard. This has allowed us to be more precise and efficient with our materials - resulting in money savings and reduced waste".
Business West’s environmental advisers present the workshop at various dates and venues across the city to Bristol based companies. The workshops are funded by the European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007 to 2013 and Bristol City Council.
