The Initiative is a business leadership team that exists to enable the business community to play a part in influencing the way the West of England is shaped, managed and developed. The organisation evolved from the Bristol Initiative, which was set up in 1988 to provide a focus for informed debate and to foster a spirit of partnership, particularly between the private sector and those in local governance.
