Initiative Projects
In addition we have
taken the lead in promoting a number of key projects. In the past
this has led to our involvement in the development of Harbourside,
the building of The Matthew, and the development of Cabot
Circus.
Our current major project
activities are as follows:
Bristol 2050 is the first
project of its kind in the UK. It will publish a unique
blueprint for the city region's development over the next
40 years, addressing the most significant issues facing our
areas, such as transport, infrastructure, jobs, education and the
environment.
South Bristol
Help us to develop a business vision for the expansion and
development of South Bristol. Our interest in promoting change and
development in South Bristol comes from an overall belief that this
will support and enable regeneration whilst also improving the
overall economic prosperity of the sub region.
Destination Bristol
Destination Bristol is a
partnership between GWE Business West, Bristol City Council and 300
businesses stretching across the sub-region with the mission to
promote Bristol and support the visitor economy.
Future Bath Plus
Future Bath Plus was set up to improve Bath and the surrounding
area by introducing City Centre Management and drawing it more
closely together with both Bath Tourism Plus and culture,
incorporating the many activities which have made Bath a City of
Festivals.
Bristol/Swindon/Gloucester Triangle
Help us to promote the North East Triangle as the main economic
engine of the South West Region. Learn more about the growth agenda
and economy of the area and the contribution it makes to the
economy of the South West.
