Development Planning & Transport

This group considers the development of the whole of the West of England and how infrastructure will impact on economic growth over the next twenty years. It views major development proposals and where thought necessary in terms of employment opportunities, will support the planing application. Conversely, the group has also objected to plans where not in the long term interests of business.

Transport Group

The group is as much concerned with provision of clean, adequate, choice of transport alternatives today, as with the longer term growth of infrastructure matching our econimc growth. It has regular dialogue with all forms of transport operators, in an effort to ensure that the City region functions despite congestion.

Business Forum

The ability to operate a business of whatever size is of particular concern to the Forum. The Chancellor's annual Budget and Statement is aways discussed in detail and a letter sent with members views on future change. All kinds of legisation that impinge on business are brought to members attention, and Government consultations responded to if appropiate.
