The Somer Valley is finally getting a long awaited and much needed boost to local enterprise with Business West’s announcement that as of the 1st of February it is taking over the management of the Somer Valley Enterprise Park at Paulton House.
The new expanded workspace will bring over 23,000 square foot of quality flexible workspace with ample free parking and good road links.
As well as office space, meeting rooms and hot desk facilities, Business West will be running a full programme of business support to help businesses in the Somer Valley to scale-up and grow.
Somer Valley Enterprise Park was established at the old headquarters of Great Mills, later Focus DIY, at one time home to 450 local jobs.
It is now home to Jane Clayton and Co - the region’s largest interior designers employing 70 people - and a diverse community of local businesses with the capacity to accommodate many more SMEs, good news for locally based businesses seeking to avoid the dreaded Bath or Bristol commute.
Business West is one of the most influential independent business leadership organisations in the UK, representing and working with over 21,000 businesses across the South West as well as running the Chambers of Commerce in Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
James Monk, Commercial Director, Business West said:
“Business West has been one of the pioneering enterprise agencies offering ‘easy-in easy-out’ flexible licence agreements for start-up and small businesses since 1987. We are delighted to add Paulton House to our thriving workspace portfolio. This is a great opportunity for the local business community to benefit from the business support available from BW.”
