Business West, the largest business membership organisation in the region and the UK’s largest Chamber of Commerce, has been named as one of the UK’s best employers in the latest annual Sunday Times 100 Best Not for Profit Companies to Work For list.

This is the second year in a row that the company has been named in the top 100, and Business West came 49th in the final rankings announced at the awards ceremony in London on 24th February.

With around 200 staff at its offices Bristol and Swindon, the company represents and works with over 18,000 businesses providing a range of advice and support services from how to start and grow your business right through to how to export, as well as lobbying to make Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire a better place to live and work.

Commenting on the news, Phil Smith, Managing Director of Business West, said:

"Coming in the top 50 in this prestigious list is a great honour and moving up 32 places from last year is a fantastic achievement. This is testament to the culture of the company and the people who work at Business West.

"As the Chamber of Commerce and the voice of business for such a large area, we are delighted to be recognised for our levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.”
