Chamber Member Spotlight: AMBITIOUS

Business West Chambers of Commerce are proud to be made up of businesses from a wide range of sectors, sizes and structures, all of whom have different reasons and motivations for joining the community. 

As part of our Chamber Member Spotlight series, we sat down with Lis Anderson, who is the founder and director of AMBITIOUS, a strategic communications company based in Bristol. 

Since setting up the business in 2011, Lis and her team at AMBITIOUS work with ambitious B2B businesses in the region, nationally and internationally, to support them with a wide range of communication services. 

“We are a strategic communications agency and that means that we offer a variety of different services to clients across the South West, nationally and internationally. But probably about 50% to 60% of our clients are based in the South West, and that's something that we really enjoy both being based in a region where we have employees, but also working for like minded clients in the region, too.” 

AMBITIOUS have been members of Business West Chambers of Commerce since 2017, and Lis explained how they gained a lot from being active in the chamber community. As well as regularly attending events, AMBITIOUS have found being a member beneficial when meeting other businesses in the region and staying up to date with current business challenges through the QES survey. 

“Being a member of the Chamber of Commerce for us really helps with our connections. As a PR agency, our strapline is for PR that connects. So, making the most of the connections that the Chamber brings to us as a business is really helpful, not only just for business growth, but also access to different suppliers and other businesses that can help grow our business.” 

“And as an organisation being based in Bristol, and working across the South West, it's helpful for us to be part of a network that can connect us to lots of different events, lots of different grants, lots of different business advice, because whilst we might understand PR, because that's what we do, it's really helpful for us to get different advice from an organisation that can help with other aspects of running our business.”
