Now more than ever, businesses in Swindon & Wiltshire need their local decision makers to rise to the challenges that they face.
Accordingly, in the run up to local elections on 6th May, Business West is inviting the business community to share their priorities for 2021 and beyond to help shape a shared economic agenda for the region.
By filling in the survey, businesses will enable the region’s largest and most influential business support organisation to build detailed local intelligence and feed into local decision making around key issues - such as infrastructure and skills - that hold economic growth back.
Business West has a strong track record of working in partnership with local councils, councillors and MPs to develop joined-up solutions to enable and accelerate business growth locally, in addition to securing concessions and mitigations for businesses from central government.
Business West holds regular meetings with Swindon business leaders, their MPs Robert Buckland and Justin Tomlinson and Council Leader Cllr David Renard to enable the business community to positively influence the way our area is shaped, managed and developed.
Similarly, in Wiltshire, Business West runs quarterly roundtable events with Chippenham MP Michelle Donelan, Devizes MP Danny Kruger and Leader of Wiltshire Council Philip Whitehead to facilitate dialogue between local business and their representatives.
