This week, Ian Mean, Director of Business West Gloucestershire hosted an insightful Business and Economy Meeting focusing on the Green Agenda in the Cotswolds.

Cotswold District Council wrote an illuminating report on their Green Economic Growth strategy which inspired this meeting. He talks to the Council and 3 fascinating local businesses taking big steps to become more sustainable in every aspect of their business. The line-up of speakers includes:

• Councillor Tony Dale, Cabinet Minister for Economy and Skills, Cotswold District Council

• James Milner, MD, The Wild Carrot@ Chavenage

• Ben Gilbert, Catch Energy

• Alex Davies, Head of Social Value, St James’s Place Wealth Management

• Paul James, Economic Development Lead, Cotswold District Council

You can watch a recording of the event below – essential viewing for any business ready to accelerate their own green agenda. Themes discussed include the Council’s commitment to green economic growth, the ‘Building back Better’ project and supporting businesses to invest in green technologies. James, Ben and Alex told us about their own business journeys across the areas of energy solutions, sustainable tourism and responsible investment. All four diverse organisations explored the benefits the green agenda can bring through risk and reputation management, innovation and improved service delivery.
