A series of new monthly meetup networking events are to be launched in Bristol, for local entrepreneurs who want to gain insight and tips on how to start and grow a business.

Provided by Virgin StartUp and delivered by Business West in the South West, they will take place on the second Monday of every month, covering  a range of topics including; how to sell, SEO, marketing, funding for start-ups, legal and red tape and much more.

The first event will take place on Monday 16 May from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Watershed, Bristol. The event will feature a panel discussion with Giles Mitchell of Office Pantry, Simone Kidner of PAPER Arts and Ralph Johnson of FelineSoft. These entrepreneurs will reveal how they started their business, their success s and pitfalls and provide tips on how to start and succeed in business.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network and connect with a host of like-minded entrepreneurs as well as tap into the support offered by Virgin StartUp and Business West, including one-to-one mentoring, workshops and start-up loans.

Tara Gillam, Head of Enterprise at Business West said: “Bristol has been named the best place to start a business in the UK, beating London, so it’s the perfect location for Virgin StartUp Meetups. These monthly events will enable entrepreneurs to access a range of support offered by both Virgin StartUp and Business West and meet other local entrepreneurs to share ideas and collaborate. It’s an opportunity not to be missed!”

Tickets cost £10, with a free drink included. Book online now.
