Were you thought of as a good ‘all-rounder’ at school; a B student; always picked for the teams but the reserve teams?  Well, cheer up. That’s not such a bad position as it leaves your options open; just as long as it doesn’t lead to the moniker ‘jack of all trades and master of none’. Yes, you soon need to learn to specialise if you want to make a name for yourself. I’m not talking about appearing in ‘Who’s Who’, just creating an identity yourself as the bloke who makes panelling or suchlike. I like to call it consolidating your talents.

If you are reading this, the chances are you are a successful businessman or woman who might openly admit that they would like to grow their business, expand their output, advance their reputation, in fact, just do the same only better.

So are you flying solo? Do you have a partner, clerical help, a sales team, someone to do the books or even a long-suffering spouse to run a stream of ideas by? If you’re part of the support team, the size of the Christmas bonus or gift may sometimes indicate how needed you are in the business structure. Listen, if you’re part of the business in whatever capacity, even if you only make the boss look good, then you are invaluable.

My musings are simply that I never believe one man (or woman) can do it all and still reach the full potential of their business. Trying to save money by scrimping on expertise will frequently signpost the route to underperformance at best or business bust at worse. Most of us know where our strengths lie and may quietly admit to vague weaknesses after a couple of pints.  Only a mug would say that he didn’t need help or advice especially when embarking on a new initiative. Calling in an expert for guidance is not an optional extra but a wise move if you want to give the enterprise the best chance of success. It doesn’t spell laziness. Quite the opposite. It indicates you care about your business and want to achieve bigger and better whilst avoiding pitfalls and unnecessary expense.

So where do we fit in? We offer you the assistance and guidance to take your product or service into the lucrative Nordic market. If you’re already exporting you may feel you can simply roll out the same formula as you use on the continent. It might work or it might not. It might be a costly exercise which leaves you with an eggy face. If you don’t want to take the chance why not contact our friendly international advisers on 01275 370 944.
