Virtual Reality (VR) broke through the tech market in 2016 with technology giants like Samsung, Facebook and Sony launching their headsets worldwide. With a market anticipated to be worth £30 billion by 2020 things are looking very exciting for the VR industry.

Originally viewed as a technology for gamers VR is moving beyond the world of gaming and into new everyday consumer use. Opportunities for VR application go way beyond its traditional field of entertainment into health, medicine, education, science, manufacturing, architecture, and engineering.

Increasingly virtual reality is changing our everyday lives from training healthcare professionals in medical procedures to helping architects reduce environmental impact in building design and planning cities of the future.

Bristol, recognised as the UK and Europe’s VR hub, will be hosting the third VR World Congress  from 11 to 13 April 2017. An industry-leading VR conference, expo and matchmaking event taking place over 3 days, it has an exceptional line-up of world-class speakers and exhibitors.

With over 2000 attendees expected to attend, VR World Congress aims at bringing together stakeholders from all backgrounds, from R&D and start-ups working on new developments in the industry to stakeholders from various sectors looking for new solutions and opportunities.

The first day of the event - 11th April – will be a great day for networking. Enterprise Europe Network South West will be running the VR World Congress Matchmaking Event a fantastic opportunity to connect with key players in VR and surrounding industries.
