Coronavirus (COVID-19) support is available to employers and the self-employed. You may be eligible for loans, tax relief and cash grants.

The Chancellor has set out a package of targeted financial measures to support businesses through this period of disruption caused by COVID-19.

For SMEs, this includes:

  • small business grant funding of £10,000 for all business in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief
  • grant funding of £25,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses with property with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000

A government-backed loan scheme for large businesses affected by coronavirus has been expanded to cover all viable firms, announced on 16th April.

West of England Local Authorities

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has allocated £213.9m for eligible West of England businesses to apply for either the Small Business Grant or Retail, Hospitality & Leisure Grant. All local councils now have online applications which can be accessed below.
