We are recruiting for a Digital Trade Adviser to join our International Trade team on a fixed term contract until September 2019.
The scale and pace of change in global digital trade is unprecedented. The Department for International Trade (DIT) has an increased focus on eCommerce and has a mandate to help UK companies build their businesses.
The rise of the connected consumer via mobile technology, analytics and social media has increased the need for the UK Retail industry to integrate channel experiences and leverage flexible, scalable and secure technologies internationally.
The role is a consultative one that is designed to help deliver incremental revenue to UK companies, through targeted digital/e-commerce advice. The purpose of the advice is to increase the global digital footprint of UK retailers & brands, by responding to consumer-led demand around the world and in turn helping these organisations increase revenue and turnover. Digital Exports should sit at the heart of an international sales roadmap and the Government’s e- Exporting Programme is a response to the evolving nature how industry is responding to a borderless world of international trade.
By offering appropriate advice whether it’s a revised digital communications strategy, a new export revenue stream into an overseas digital marketplace or a revised SEO plan, DITs Digital Trade Advisors (DTAs) will play a critical role in helping achieve DITs client’s successes. DTAs should cultivate their own client relationships, with a view to assisting the international online expansion of a given company.
Working as part of a team that has a pan-Whitehall focus (with HQ support) DTAs will become an integral part of the Government’s Digital Export Strategy for the UK Retail industry.
Currently working (with a minimum of 3 years recent experience) in an ecommerce or digital capacity either agency or corporate side providing digital and ecommerce advice, coupled with the drive and ambition to take this experience to the next level.
An all-rounder that is equally comfortable discussing the client's business objectives, as well as the available commercial channels, technology options and digital export solutions.
You are a self-starter who has a proven track record of working in successful project teams and are excited about working in a stretched role against challenging timeframes.
