Mark Fanning became the owner of ACF Teambuilding and Events in 2012, starting with a small team of three and steadily growing to a workforce of seven staff members. The business provides a wide range of team challenges and experiences, designed to bring people together. Working alongside some of the most prestigious venues based primarily in the South West ACF offer family fun days, corporate parties and team building away days.
While ACF has been operating for many years now, Mark was looking to develop a strategy to secure future growth and stability for the business. That’s when he heard about the Enterprising West of England scale up coaching grants.
Working closely with the Enterprising West of England team at Business West, Mark had a consultation on the needs of his business and how a grant could help the business to scale up and grow sustainably. Mark then completed the straightforward application form and was awarded a grant of £1,320.

The scale up coaching grant has enabled Mark to work with a business consultant from Business Doctors to develop a business strategy. He has also created an in-depth five-year plan aimed at growth and sustainability. The opportunity to work with a business consultant has created a clear path and direction for the company and has already seen an upturn in business.
