After graduating from University, they worked in the food industry and realised the market for warm cookie dough, sauce and ice cream was one that no one had utilised before.
The start-up company is highly focused on customer service and providing each customer with a unique experience. Their aim is to give the customer a more tailored service, ensuring each customer feels valued. The team worked hard on the design of their first kiosk, located in St David’s Mall in Cardiff, which has been designed in a minimalistic u-shape structure to bring customers in and make them feel part of the experience.
My Cookie Dough is an exciting new product within the retail mall market and the team has already received great feedback, recently winning a BCSC Opal award which recognises and showcases the best examples in the retail mall marketplace. With the product proving highly popular in Cardiff the team have taken on 14 staff and have plans to expand to Leeds.
The budding Bristol based entrepreneurs had previously worked with Business West on the Ready for Business programme and so when deciding to launch their new venture, knew exactly who to turn to for business advice and support. They worked with adviser Alyson Eyval to secure a Virgin StartUp loan which really helped get their idea off the ground.
A Virgin StartUp loan is a personal loan for business purposes, it aims to help individuals starting a new venture. Entrepreneurs can apply for anything from £500 up to £25,000. My Cookie Dough were successful in their loan application and received £24,000.
