He holds a masters degree from Peking University in International Relations and can speak Chinese. In his spare time Jonathan organises events for Sinophiles in Bristol.

Ameeta Virk Market Specialist - India

Originally from California, Ameeta has worked in a range of sectors, including founding an interior design firm in San Francisco, English Language teaching and training in Spain, China, UK and the US, and pharmaceutical sales. Upon moving to the UK, she co-founded an ecommerce company focusing on the eco childrenswear market. After selling the company in 2013 she consulted for a portfolio of designer childrenswear brands seeking to enter the UK marketplace.

Sarah Hildersley - Market Specialist - Latin America

Sarah Hildersley is our Latin America Market Specialist and has significant experience of living and working in Mexico asHead of the Monterrey British Consulate. Monterrey is Mexico’s leading commercial centre and Sarah worked closely with UK companies to help them secure multi-million pound deals in the Advanced Engineering sector. Leading the 30-strong UKTI team across Mexico, she worked closely with the Wood Group and Aston Martin, amongst others. Sarah is fluent in Spanish and has an extensive network of contacts across Latin America who can support South West companies to grow their international trade; honing in on what exporters really need to do to secure international sales.

Shozey Jafferi - Market Specialist - South East Asia

With over a decade of successfully managing engineering companies whilst living in Central and South East Asia, Shozey is now using his experience to support companies through the Extend Your Global Reach programme. He provides hands-on support to SME’s in the South West of England seeking to exploit the opportunities on offer in South East Asia. This is provided through direct business development and commercial support, and by tapping into his extensive regional network of business contacts.
