This workshop, led by Sally Melvin from Ablaze, will provide the tools and competencies needed to successfully mentor young people who have joined your workforce as new employees.

We will explore the main components and techniques of mentoring, both for personal growth and professional development and examine how the two complement each other and can be combined to provide the best outcome for your business and employees.

We will cover common challenges and barriers young people face taking on new jobs, particularly in relation to COVID-19 and the way the pandemic has impacted development and mental health for this cohort.

Attendees will take away resources to support setting up a mentoring programme in their business and the confidence to deliver impactful mentoring for their employees.

Places on this valuable workshop are funded through the Workforce for the Future and are limited so book your place now. Due to the nature of this funded project, this event is open to SME businesses in the West of England only.

This event is delivered as part of the Workforce for the Future programme, which helps your business identify employee development areas, plan and adapt for the future, upskill and retrain employees and access new talent. Business West is delivering Workforce for the Future in collaboration with other partners and the West of England Combined Authority.
