Swindon & Wiltshire’s LSIF Allocation & Achievements
*Please note this event now has a new date: Thursday 23rd January 2025, 1pm – 2pm*
The Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF) enables further education providers across a geographic area to respond collectively to the priorities in the Local Skills Improvement Plans. It also provides investment in technical skills to better support the needs of the local labour market and wider economy and can be used on infrastructure, learning environments, teaching and more, to help improve training provision for the local area.
In 2023 Wiltshire College and University Centre was announced as the lead provider for the LSIF in the local area and was allocated £2.5 million worth of funding across two financial years. This is to be shared with other partners in the local area, including New College Swindon, who will be joining us for this webinar.
We’d like to invite you to join us to learn more about:
- The LSIF in Swindon and Wiltshire
- How funding for the local area has been allocated
- The key projects that are in progress
- How this is helping to start transform the local skills landscape.
We will delve into the key projects, such as the Eco House at Lackham, Tech Trowbridge and Green EV Workshop, and talk about the achievements and innovation that the LSIF fund has allowed, whilst showcasing how it is helping to drive skills forward in the local area.
There will also be the chance to ask questions and discover more about tools available to employers.
