Young Bristol are delighted to have been awarded The Partnership Award for our intergenerational programme with Alive Activities, at Voscur’s Bristol Social Impact Awards.

In 2018-19, Young Bristol worked in partnership with Bristol-based charity Alive Activities, running a series of trips to bring together young people from our Youth Clubs and older people from Alive’s care homes. The project aimed to facilitate responsible behaviour by encouraging young people to respect other people’s opinions, as well as sharing knowledge, experience and skills.

114 people between 9 – 103 years of age, attended a series of trips to attractions such as Weston-super-Mare and Bristol Zoo, creating lasting positive relationships between the generations.

We are thrilled that the intergenerational programme was recognised as a joint winner for this award, alongside the Iris Partnership. It is a privilege to be recognised amongst a fantastic shortlist of charity partnerships across Bristol.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Voscurs.
