Skills Consultant

Kate Royston
Director | SevernNet Limited
3rd April 2025

We are looking for a SevernNet Skills Consultant to join us to support the development of a collaborative place-based skills ecosystem across Portbury Avonmouth Severnside (PAS)

SevernNet is a non-profit social enterprise. We’re run with the support of our members and our team of voluntary directors.
SevernNet brings together the businesses and community across Portbury Avonmouth Severnside to enable barriers to be overcome and opportunities to be exploited through cooperation and collaboration.
We are promoting the area as a Circular Net Zero Economy Hub for the West of England and need to ensure that there is skills delivery in place to support this ambition.
A number of stakeholders have come together to form the West of England Industrial Cluster (WEIC). The cluster is being developed from a hub centred across Portbury Avonmouth Severnside (PAS) with spokes to industrial sites across the West of England and beyond.
WEIC is developing a Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plan (LIDP) which will help underpin the Circular Net Zero Economy Hub.

SevernNet is collaborating with City of Bristol College, Weston College and South Glos and Stroud College (The Colleges) in the PAS Skills Collaboration; and the colleges are co-funding this role.
The Skills Consultant will play a key role in the development of the collaborative place-based skills ecosystem (also known as the Skills Academy Without Walls).
