The Hybrid Revolution

We’ve all had to change the way we do business during the past two years, with so much of our lives migrating online. As restrictions have eased and we’re able to return to the office, many of us are splitting our working lives between home and hot desk. This has meant that businesses such as ours have had to adapt and accommodate to the new working world.

As a conference and meetings venue, we have spent the past 12 months focusing on what the future of our industry looks like. We’ve introduced new cleaning protocols, implemented social distancing where needed and worked with our clients to ensure they feel assured and safe when returning to face to face meetings. We’ve even introduced clean air monitors into our large training and conference rooms to let guests know when to open windows and add fresh air.

But for us, one of the most profound changes to our business has been the exponential rise in hybrid events.

The pandemic has thrust hybrid options to the forefront, allowing organisers the chance to reach and unite a global audience - engaging with both face-to-face attendees and those online with ease. Our job, as a venue, has been to support clients with high-quality plug and play technology that they can simply turn up and use.

And the benefits of hybrid options are undeniable, as it offers:

·       Increased reach and attendance

·       Higher engagement with your audience

·       More powerful sponsorship opportunities

·       Reduced environmental costs

·       Reduced travel costs

·       Helps feed your marketing pipeline for the year

·       Improved Return On Investment

·       Valuable data and metrics

·       Greater flexibility

·       The chance to address the changing needs of your audience

Essentially, it means less risk to the organiser because the event can reach its delegates wherever they are; be it enjoying the hospitality of Engineers’ House in person, or logging in from the other side of the world. What is more, because the technology we have is so easy, the switch can be immediate; if someone can’t make it that day, they can log on from home.

More than 1,800 of our customers have now experienced our hybrid capabilities and many are returning again and again to use this new world approach.

We’re confident that the hybrid revolution is here - and it’s here to stay.
