Business West is launching a recruitment drive to help in the re-building of business here in the South West.
Commercial Director James Monk is looking to recruit business specialists who have practical experience of helping companies innovate and export.
James told me: “In common with other regions, we are finding that the South West is going to have to re-build itself as quickly as possible.
“But this is not just about building ring roads and other infrastructure projects. We need to get the economy moving with more sales here in the UK and internationally.”
These key new roles will be part of Business West’s Innovate UK and Department of International Trade teams.
“Over the last two years, these teams have delivered more than £1 billion of growth in the South West region”, commented James.
He added: “I want to recruit the best of the best.
“They must be able to give good pragmatic advice based on their business experience.
“If you are going to compete in this new world of business post-COVID, we have to look at innovative ways of doing things differently with enthusiastic people.
