Co-Chambers Digital Platform Development

Three Chambers of Commerce in the UK - incl. Business West (incorp. Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Chambers of Commerce), Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and London Chamber of Commerce & Industry - have decided to develop a joint digital platform to provide connectivity between the Chambers.

The aim in developing this platform is to add value for the members of the Chambers and to strengthen the Chambers' position as the voice of UK business. We invite tenders for the contract of web developer / service provider that will develop and support the proposed digital platform.

Project Description

The proposed platform is a digital complement to the varied set of services already offered by the three sponsoring Chambers. UK Chambers of Commerce produce a lot of good quality, original content on a range of policy areas but the current delivery route is not always optimal. The digital platform must, in the first instance, enable the Chambers to disseminate content, gather the views of businesses and conduct focused campaigns.

Chambers members also provide content which is subsequently communicated out through various offline and online channels.

Initial development of the platform must provide the means to collate and curate such content from the participating Chambers and publish them in an intelligent and easy to use fashion.

Subsequent development of the platform includes plans for a multi-Chamber directory of member businesses and the capability to sell third party services.
