My name is Paul Dennett and I am Director of 1st Attendance training group ltd. 1st Attendance has been delivering fire safety training nationally in the UK for over 20 years and now delivers first aid training too.
I have been the principal instructor for 18 years before becoming director in 2022. Prior to this, I had a long career in health and safety for over 25 years, mainly in retail and hospitality but I have now changed my focus to all things fire safety and first aid and I really do enjoy it.
My favourite part of the job is going out and meeting new people. It is genuinely a pleasure to deliver our bespoke courses to our wonderful customers and I get to travel all over the country visiting businesses and leading in-person, hands-on training.
When I’m not at work, I’m one of these sickening people that is very active and enjoys taking part it in running events and ultramarathons. I’m also a local radio DJ on a Saturday morning for Base Radio Bristol, which is such a joy and great way to start the weekend.
