Anne O’Donnell, CEO of next generation management consultancy Procorre will be flying the flag for Bristol at the launch of the Vote 100 anniversary campaign book ‘Voice & Vote’, which takes place at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday 27th June.

One of just a handful of South West based leaders to be profiled in the book Anne has always championed equality. Her feature in the book focuses on the lack of women in UK management consultancies, and her efforts to encourage women to work collaboratively to crack the glass ceiling.

Anne will be attending the prestigious book launch which is part of the anniversary celebrations of when Parliament passed the Representation of the People Act 1918 – a package of electoral reforms that extended the vote to women for the first time.

The book is a commemorative album, published by St James’s House in partnership with The History of Parliament Trust. It has been written by academics and experts and features a fascinating selection of archival images and documentation detailing the struggle for women to get the vote, how it was won and how the fight for equality continues.

Anne O’Donnell, CEO of Procorre, said: “I am extremely honoured to be part of this amazing and historic book. Professional women have so much to offer the consultancy industry and yet they are underrepresented despite the financial benefits and flexibility it offers.

“I’m working hard to try to change that within our company and wider industry and I hope this book helps to do the same. Although women have had equal rights for 100 years, it feels as if their true voice has only just been heard recently. Businesses like ours have an obligation to make sure this voice is strengthened to pave the way for the future.”

St James’s House CEO, Richard Freed, said, “Equality is one of the most important values underpinning our society, and we are extremely excited to be producing this official commemorative album for the History of Parliament Trust. It is also fantastic to feature leading UK business women like Anne who are actively trying to create greater equality and to encourage women to be the best they can be."
