The Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, The Grand Appeal, is lighting up the South West’s regional children’s hospital again this Christmas – and your business can get involved!

This year, your sponsorship will help change lives. The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Bristol Children’s Hospital, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in St Michael’s Hospital, where the sickest children receive specialist care, need new ventilators. Read on to find out more about how you can help light up Bristol Children’s Hospital

  1. Reach your Environmental, Social and Governance goals
  2. Change little lives by funding new, life-saving ventilators
  3. Proudly share with your clients how you’ve donated to charity this Christmas
  4. Help create a light show on the walls of Bristol Children’s Hospital
  5. Have your business’name displayed next to the hospital lights

Reach your ESG goals

This Christmas, in the spirit of the festive season, hit your ESG targets by giving back to your community.

As the major trauma centre for the region, and the only dedicated children’s hospital in the South West, Bristol Children’s Hospital treats over 100,000 patients every year. Patients from as far as Cornwall, Devon and South Wales come for specialist treatment.

By sponsoring a star – each with varying price points, for businesses large and small – you'll be giving back to the hospital that looks after your community.

The lights will switch on Thursday 30 November and shine bright for the whole of December, bringing festive delight not only to the parents and patients who visit the hospital throughout the Christmas period, but the thousands of Bristolians who pass by each day.

With your business’ name on the side of the hospital over the festive period, as well as a shout-out to The Grand Appeal’s 32,500+ followers on social media and displayed on The Grand Appeal website, sponsoring a star is a fantastic way to show clients the values your businesses hold at its heart and why they should work with you.

Help fund life-saving equipment this Christmas

Christmas is all about giving. This festive season, give a child the most important gift you can: the chance to not just survive, but thrive.

Ventilators are vital pieces of equipment for the most poorly children in hospital. It helps them breathe when they are unable to breathe themselves. This gives their bodies the time they need to heal.

“A ventilator saved my Mia’s life. She came into the world suddenly, born by emergency c-section at 26 weeks. She weighed less than a bag of sugar.

Immediately, Mia was struggling to breathe – her lungs were underdeveloped. After just seven minutes, she was put on a ventilator. She looked so tiny compared to all the wires and machines, but I knew she couldn’t survive without it.” - Sabrina, Mia’s mum

This year, your sponsorship will help fund two new ventilators: one in Bristol Children’s Hospital’s PICU, which treats some of the hospital’s most critically ill patients, and one in St Michael’s NICU, which treats premature and sick babies.
