Thank you to everyone who contributed towards Young Bristol’s 2020 President’s Appeal. We are in awe of the generosity of the public during this difficult time, raising over £28,000 for young people and children across our city!
Young Bristol’s 2020 President Appeal launched at a difficult and challenging time last year, when as a nation we were coming through a second lockdown, which had significantly impacted the valuable face-to-face work of Young Bristol. We know that young people have thankfully been largely spared from the direct health effects of COVID-19, however the crisis is having a profound effect on their wellbeing. The harmful effects of this pandemic are expected to be most damaging for children in the poorest neighbourhoods, and for those in already disadvantaged or vulnerable situations.
Which is why we launched our 2020 President’s Appeal, with the aim to improve facilities in our 8 Community Youth Clubs, to ensure we can offer a flexible service that meets the needs of local communities, whatever the next 6-12 months look like.
Our President, Jonathan Webb MB ChB FRCS (Orth), today would like to share our biggest thanks to our amazing supporters who contributed to the appeal, which will go towards making our Community Youth Clubs, safe, inspiring and well equipped spaces for young people this year. We thank you!
