Regional training provider celebrates first year of success despite the pandemic.

S.L. Procurement Solutions Limited, who provide classroom based seminars and training in Procurement and Supply chain, help professionals gain their CIPS qualifications.

After noticing a gap in the market for a condensed learning package for professionals who want to progress their careers in procurement, whilst still fulfilling their work loads and concentrating on their careers, Director, and lead tutor, Stephen Lovatt realised that most professionals are time limited, but are still dedicated to immense career progression.

“It was a realisation that time sensitive studies needed to be at the forefront of these seminars and that is when S.L. Procurement Solutions Limited was born. And I cannot believe we are 1 year old already” said Stephen.

“Having progressed through a career in Procurement and Supply chain myself, and having witnessed the commitment and workload this career brings, and also the obligation to study alongside your career I knew I could provide a platform of study that was direct, condensed and time sensitive”, he added.

S.L. Procurement student Jess has benefited from the training company’s unique course delivery style; “having studied with a different provider alongside work, I was struggling to attend the classroom sessions and still fulfil my full-time work commitments. I decided to not progress my studies. It wasn’t until I learnt that there was a way to be able to do both, and to study smart. This is where SLPS and Stephen have helped so much and opened my eyes to clever study approaches and how to really get to grips with the CIPS examination styles, new revision techniques and really, really clever approaches to all things Procurement and Supply chain’ said Jess.

As the firm neared its first year delivering courses, like every company, faced new challenges in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.

The training provider knew it was time to rethink strategies and course delivery, seeing huge success and business growth through further condensed sessions, delivered virtually, rather than classroom based, due to the lockdown.

“Like all businesses faced with the lockdown we had to rethink how we could continue to support our students. As all our training venues closed to protect the public, the NHS and all keyworkers, we had to still help those who wanted to continue to study. We converted all of our classroom sessions in to virtual ones so that we could keep going, at a really crucial time for us as a business in our first year we wanted to ensure all our students were supported” said company Director, Stephen.

“We continue to deliver all our sessions virtually at the moment, and we know this will continue to be a very successful way to study once ‘normal’ resumes -whenever that may be” he added, “it’s been a wonderfully busy, unique and exciting first 12 months for us as a company and we are delighted with our first year of growth and success, and already we are excited to continue in these unprecedented times”.

Ends.
