ATA Carnets for the TV and Film Industry

***Owing to unprecedented demand and staff illness, we are temporarily not taking on new carnet clients. We hope to be fully open for new business shortly.***

Catch up with changes from 1st January 2021

Following changes to trading rules between the UK and EU from 1st January 2021, firms can choose to use an ATA Carnet when transporting goods and equipment temporarily into EU countries or transferring them through the EU to non-EU or other countries.

An ATA Carnet acts as a passport for goods allowing temporary import and export of your goods into countries that are part of the ATA Carnet system (which includes the EU). Having an ATA Carnet means you avoid paying duties and taxes upon import and we're offering to issue them for the TV and Film industry at a reduced rate!

What are the benefits of using an ATA Carnet?

  • No unexpected costs, delays or red tape at the border
  • Valid for 12 months and can be used for multiple trips
  • Will enable your goods to move freely across borders
  • An ATA Carnet can be used to move around the whole of the EU, with no further cost, or hassle
  • Task of completing customs documents for each country you pass through, or visit, is avoided
  • Returning your goods to your home country is more straightforward

What goods can an ATA Carnet be used for?

  • All professional equipment
  • Trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Commercial samples and trials

Almost any non perishable items could go on a carnet. The exceptions are perishable or consumable goods and items which will be altered (such as for repair) or sold.  Be aware that some items may require separate licenses, or permits in a some countries, but we are happy to advise.
