Pieminister was founded in Bristol in 2003. With their revolutionary take on the traditional Pie and Mash shop, they have grown from their first restaurant on Stokes Croft into a widely successful restaurant chain across the UK.

During the pandemic, the hospitality industry experienced economic decline. Consequently, businesses had to improve their focus on their workforce planning.

We spoke to Pieminister’s Sam Heywood about how Barry Tugwood, Business Skills Advisor, helped them to grow their business through the Workforce for the Future programme.

“Barry has helped us to find some different levels of management training that are suitable for managers, supervisors, and team leaders at all different levels tailored to their needs to be more confident and to be more competent in what they do,” Sam explained.
