Business West heads to Melbourne for the ICC World Chambers Congress
Business West is excited to share that two members of the team, Catherine Stephens, Head of International Trade Services, and James Monk, Director of Commercial Services, will soon be heading to Melbourne to participate in the ICC World Chambers Congress, taking place from 2nd to 4th September 2025.
Representing the UK alongside the British Chambers of Commerce, we’re proud to showcase the work we’ve been doing to support businesses trading internationally, and how our innovative, AI and tech-enabled solutions are helping companies navigate global trade with greater ease and confidence.
Catherine Stephens said: “I’m really looking forward to taking part in several sessions at the Congress. I’ll be speaking on a panel about trade compliance, preferential origin and Free Trade Agreements, sharing how we’ve developed a new service to make Free Trade Agreements more accessible to businesses. I’m also involved in workshops with the International Certificate of Origin Council and World ATA Carnet Council, where we’ll be discussing the future of digital trade documentation including the exciting project of Digital Carnets.”
James Monk adds: “It’s a huge honour to be presenting Business West’s Carnet Tracker and CarnetCheck projects at the World Chambers Competition, where we’re finalists in the Best Chamber Innovation Project category. This is about showing how technology, including AI, can help traders stay compliant, save time and reduce risk. We’re proud to represent the UK and share what we’ve been doing to support international traders.”
We’re also looking forward to connecting with Chambers from around the world, exchanging ideas, and bringing back fresh insights to help shape the future of international trade support here in the UK.
Business West’s mission has always been to make trade easier, empowering businesses to grow through compliance-led innovation. We're looking forward to sharing our work, learning from global peers, and continuing to champion UK exporters on the international stage.
Wish us luck – and watch this space!
