The British Chambers of Commerce, of which Business West is a key player, has launched its Global Britain Challenge report to boost exports and channel overseas investment into the UK.
Business West’s latest Quarterly Economic Survey, which polls businesses across the South West, reveals 63% of the 268 respondents are optimistic about their own prospects, but only 16% said the same for the UK economy at large.
In the ever-evolving landscape of global trade, staying ahead means embracing digital innovation. With an astounding 361 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) worldwide, the complexity of navigating these waters has never been more challenging. The UK stands among this global network with 71 FTAs, including three forged post-EU departure. At the forefront of this digital revolution, Business West’s International Trade Services will be launching Genesis later this year*, an exciting digital verification tool designed to support businesses utilising FTAs.

On Thursday 14th March we invited Bristol Initiative members to meet their representatives in the Bristol Labour Party at the offices of fellow Initiative members Arcadis. As with the previous event in the “Meet the Parties” series, the Meet The Greens Business Breakfast, the Labour team started off the day with a short presentation to our members, and then took questions from the audience.
