About this event
Carbon Literacy is an internationally recognised training programme focusing on climate change, carbon footprints and our impact as individuals and an organisation. As well as gaining knowledge and understanding on climate change topics, by completing this course you'll receive a Carbon Literate Certificate.
Our course is catered to all skill levels - you do not need any prior knowledge to partake in this course. You'll review basic climate science and build systematic thinking that can be used to identify meaningful action and challenge false information.
Bath Spa University has been named as the second most ethical and sustainable university in the country in the latest People & Planet University League Table, and first in the South West. Our course has been approved by the Carbon Literacy Trust, developed by the University’s Sustainability Team and includes information on the local area and sustainability goals.
You’ll explore key areas such as food, transport, energy, vulnerability and climate justice, helping you identify tangible areas of change in our personal and professional lives. Sustainability work is never done, and we strive for continual improvement to help tackle climate change.
In this course, you’ll explore opportunities for improvement as individuals, professionals, and global citizens.
You will need a way to take notes, and it would be beneficial for you to bring a laptop for some interactive elements of the course.
