National Emergency Briefing Screening

In November 2025, ten of the UK's experts addressed an audience of more than 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media at Westminster Central Hall. The People's Emergency Briefing is a powerful 50-minute film that captures this landmark event and brings its message to audiences across the UK.
 
Presented by Chris Packham CBE, the film explores the far-reaching impacts of climate and nature breakdown on public health, food systems, national security and the economy. Through contributions from leading scientists and policy experts, it sets out the scale of the challenges we face while highlighting the significant opportunities and benefits of a coordinated emergency response.

The event will create a space for Business West’s members and wider network to engage with the National Emergency Briefing evidence, with key regional stakeholders invited to join a panel discussion after the screening to discuss how we can locally and collectively respond to the evidence.
