Gen AI is one of the most disruptive technologies of our time, yet its impact on the workforce remains one of the least understood. Technology never exists in isolation and only thrives in combination with workers, but there is still limited insight into what the workforce is really doing, and not doing, with GenAI.

To help address this, Deloitte has undertaken a major study of 25,000 workers across the UK to understand the current state of GenAI adoption: who is using it, how, why, and with what impact. The research also reveals shadow usage, inequalities, governance and risk challenges, and the gap that can exist between workforce experience and leadership perception.

To explore the survey's findings and what they mean for organisations across the region, we're hosting an event at our Bristol office on 16 September 2026.

At this event, we will delve deeper into the findings and discuss the critical gap between what businesses expect from GenAI tools and how their workforce is actually using them. The session will be highly relevant to organisations considering how to make the right investments, manage risk and governance effectively, and realise value from their GenAI initiatives. You will hear from Deloitte specialists and other experts from across the South West, with opportunities to ask questions and continue the conversation with peers.
