Our Trading for Net Zero team host regular online webinars and workshops to help businesses and individuals gain a better understanding of sustainability issues, ignite climate conversations and move their own carbon reduction plans forward.

Aiming for Net Zero workshops

Our series of Aiming for Net Zero workshops provide tailored and practical guidance for your business, wherever you are on your Net Zero journey. 

Aisha Stewart, who is our Net Zero Business Advisor, leads each of the workshops, and during each session you'll have the chance to collaborate with like-minded, local businesses and be able to share advice and best practice. 

Each workshop is stand alone, and there is no limit on the number of people from your organisation who want to sign up.

We will now be covering the following topics:

Developing your Carbon Footprint

During the three hour virtual workshop, we will give you the knowledge to develop your carbon footprint, reduce carbon emissions and develop a plan to achieve net zero.  

This is an introductory course, with no knowledge of net zero or carbon reduction planning required. Suitable for all levels of seniority. 

Communicating your Sustainability Ambitions

This two hour virtual workshop aims to equip businesses with the knowledge and tools to actively engage with their internal staff and effectively communicate their sustainability ambitions externally to customers, suppliers and the wider public. 

Suitable for all levels of seniority, and might appeal to those in PR / Marketing / Communication positions. No knowledge of net zero or carbon reduction planning is required. 

Tackling your Scope 3 Emissions

For many businesses, their scope 3 emissions make up a considerable proportion of their total carbon footprint. This three hour virtual workshop aims to breakdown the 15 categories of scope 3 and identify some opportunities for reductions and provide examples of what actions businesses are taking.  

Suitable for mid-high levels of seniority, and might appeal to those in financial, quality control or environmental positions. Existing knowledge of net zero or carbon reduction planning would be beneficial. 

Funding is available for companies

Business West Chamber members can attend this workshop free of charge. 

We also have funding available for businesses from the Somerset Energy Innovation Centre (SEIC), where you can receive fully-funded places for individuals at your company. You can find out more about the funding available here. 

Lunch and Learn webinars

We run free 1 hour webinars every other month which cover different Net Zero topics. We are joined by different experts from local businesses for each webinar, who give their own perspective on the topic. They are a great way for businesses and individuals to learn and ask questions about current environmental issues and topics.
