As summer approaches, the Business West ATA Carnet team is ready for a busy season of international events.

Our meticulous preparation and efficient processes ensure we can handle the surge in demand for Carnets we have already seen throughout May—business as usual this time of year!

With numerous trade shows, sports events including the Paris Olympics, and of course the festival season on the horizon, the team's enhanced support services guarantee fast and accurate processing of documentation. 

At the end of April, we celebrated Peru's entry into the ATA Carnet scheme, and last week, we were thrilled to issue the first UK ATA Carnet to Peru on behalf of the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce. This significant milestone facilitated a unique charitable venture: a rowing trip up the Amazon River to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We recently welcomed Davor McKinley, Head of ATA Carnet Procedures and Compliance at UKNATACO, to undertake our audit, and I am extremely proud to report that we passed with flying colours. This is a fantastic result, achieved due to the dedication of our outstanding team, and it stands as an example of why customers choose our service.

Looking forwards, there have been exciting developments for Digital/eATA Carnets, with Holyhead being the most recent UK port to undertake training. This is a fantastic step towards the digitalisation of the carnet process for those moving goods by road, in addition to the existing facility to trial Digital Carnets via air at Heathrow. We have been working extensively with our online documentation platform, SGS, to develop the eATA carnet facility to reflect a smoother and more robust application process.
