Skills England LSIPs (Local Skills Improvement Plan) align post-16 education with employer needs, identifying priority skills gaps and coordinating action across providers and partners.
As the region’s Chamber of Commerce, Business West leads the development of the Gloucestershire LSIP, working with employers, providers and partners to align post-16 education with labour market demand. LSIPs provide a coordinated, evidence-led approach to addressing skills gaps and supporting economic growth.
Join us for a focused session to preview and sense-check the emerging findings and priority skills needs identified through the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP).
Structured around our core thematic areas — including sector priorities, workforce transitions, skills pipeline development, and system enablers — this session will bring together partners and stakeholders to test the evidence, challenge assumptions, and strengthen alignment across the skills system.
Together, we will refine the identified skills needs and determine and confirm the priority actions required to respond effectively, ensuring delivery is targeted, collaborative, and impactful. Your input will directly shape the final LSIP priorities and help ensure they reflect real employer demand, support learners at key transition points, and enable a more responsive and integrated skills system.
