Business West finalists in global competition

We are thrilled Business West has been named a finalist in the 2025 World Chambers Competition, hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Chambers Federation.

Our project, ‘Innovation in International Trade: Carnet Tracker and CarnetCheck’, has been recognised in the Best Chamber Innovation Project category. This recognition underscores our dedication to driving innovation in international trade and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

The competition received 83 applications from 41 countries, making it a highly competitive process. We are honoured to be one of the four finalists in our category, alongside Chambers from Turkey, Serbia, and Iran.

Our shortlisted project showcases two groundbreaking projects:

  • Carnet Tracker: A bespoke tracking solution that reduces the risk of lost or unreturned carnets, saving businesses time, money, and stress.
  • CarnetCheck: An AI-powered data checking tool that streamlines the complex process of verifying carnet general lists, improving efficiency and accuracy.


We are also delighted to see the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) recognised as a finalist in the Best Policy Project category for their “Future of the Economy – A Transformational Policy Initiative”. 

The final presentations will take place on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025, at the World Chambers Congress in Melbourne, where we will share our journey and innovations with a global audience.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our 22-strong International Trade team, and we are incredibly proud to represent the UK, alongside the BCC, on this global stage.
