About this event

Increasingly, organisations are recognising the importance of taking climate action and are implementing strategies to limit their impact. Key to achieving this change is ensuring your employees know why you are taking action and feel supported to work towards your climate ambitions.

Discover how to bring your employees along on your organisation’s climate action journey at our free Employee Engagement Climate Action Breakfast on Tuesday 16 June.

Whether you already have an established strategy or are looking to start transforming your ambitions into action, this session will cover how to secure engagement, creating the conditions to empower your staff to adopt and champion climate-friendly measures.

We will hear from environmental psychologist Professor Lorraine Whitmarsh MBE, Director of theUK Centre for Climate Change & Social Transformations, and will be exploring:

  • Why it’s important to engage your employees in climate action

  • Some common barriers of engagement and how these can be overcome

  • The behavioural change insights of effective engagement

  • A range of actions, tools and incentives that you can take to engage your employees

We will also be contextualising these learnings with examples of practical applications from local organisations.

There will be time to network with peers and share ideas over a light breakfast.

Timings

  • 8:30am-9am – networking and light breakfast
  • 9am-10:30am – presentation and discussion
  • 10:30am-11:00am – networking
