Bristol-based Good Riddance Pest Control has begun a rebrand to create closer alignment with its parent company Cleankill Pest Control.

Established in 2002 by Howard Taffs, Good Riddance has built a strong reputation in the Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare areas as a company delivering effective pest control with exceptional customer service.

In 2018, Howard approached Croydon-based Cleankill Pest Control with a view to selling the business upon his retirement. He remarked at the time: “Within the industry, Cleankill is well-known as a company that looks after its staff and its customers. They believe in continuous staff development as a way to constantly improve and offer better customer service. When I wanted to find a company that would look after my customers and staff, Cleankill was the obvious choice.”

For Cleankill, the acquisition was part of a long-term strategy for expansion along the M4 corridor. Initially, Good Riddance continued to trade under its original name, but it is now time to begin the process of rebranding.

Commenting on the rebrand, Cleankill Managing Director Paul Bates said: “We think the time is right. We are justifiably proud of what we have achieved at Cleankill and the reputation we have gained. Over the years, we’ve received multiple awards for staff development, environmental focus, community spirit, and outstanding customer service. Good Riddance Pest Control has always been an easy fit with our business model and so it makes sense to now deliver that service under one name.”

Cleankill was formed in 1995 by pest control professionals who wanted to create a successful company that put the needs of customers, employees, the environment and its communities on an equal footing with a desire for profit.

Paul added: “While we do offer residential pest control services, most of our work is commercial and particularly with facilities managers.  A good way to get an idea of the scope of our business is to look at a small cross-section of recent jobs for facility managers in and around London. These include bird-proofing the solar panels on the roof of a large, out-of-town supermarket, dealing with an infestation of clothes moths at a high-end residential block in Chelsea, dispersing pigeons from a housing estate using our Harris Hawks and dealing with an infestation of mice at an office block that was empty due to lockdown.”

There is no such thing as a ‘standard’ job in pest control. Surveyors and technicians must have the experience and training to understand the needs of the customer, the requirements of the site and technical knowledge of a wide range of pests. Whether you are a facilities manager in Avonmouth or the manager of a residential block in Bath, you can be assured the service Cleankill offers will be cost-effective, professional, and tailored to your needs.
