Tech Adoption for Growth is a government-backed programme delivered by Business West aimed at helping businesses improve productivity through the effective use of new digital technologies such as:

This research-led pilot provides hands-on, practical support to help businesses adopt technology and make effective use of digital tools, streamline operations, and support sustainable growth. 

What support is available? 

Businesses accepted onto the programme will receive specialist support through one of two routes, assigned as part of the pilot:

How does it work? 

• We assess applications to confirm eligibility
• Eligible businesses are then assigned to a support route
• Support is free, practical, impartial, and business-focused
• Those on workshops will take part in four expert-led sessions
• Those working one-to-one with consultants will receive regular support
• The programme forms part of a research-led pilot shaping future business support

Tech Adoption For Growth is delivered by Business West and TechSPARK, in partnership with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and funded by UK Government.

Privacy Notice for Tech Adoption for Growth Pilot Project 
This policy applies to the personal information collected as part of the Tech Adoption for Growth Pilot Trial programme.  The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is funding the Digital Adoption Trial which is to be delivered by GWE Business West Ltd and partners.  
The DBT is the data controller in relation to personal information collected as part of the programme.  
GWE and other partners involved in programme delivery are The West of England Combined Authority, SPARK South West Ltd. All of whom will all be classed as data processors for this project. 
Verian Group UK Ltd (“Verian”), an independent research agency (https://www.veriangroup.com/), has been contracted to evaluate and monitor the Digital Adoption Trial. It will be a data processor on behalf of DBT and personal data will be shared with them to aid this process.

All data will be handled in accordance with the standard Business West Privacy Notice which is in full below.

By registering for the Tech Adoption for Growth Pilot Trial, you are a Data Subject with respect to the data provided. 
We collect, store and process personal data about Data Subjects, as well as details about data subject’s business. 
•    The information we collect as part of the programme via the Website may include: Identity and Contact Data: contact names, emails, telephone numbers, addresses, marital status, gender, age. 
We collect and process personal data to: 
•    Check your eligibility for the programme 
•    provision of the Tech Adoption for Growth Pilot Trial 
•    share data with Verian as part of evaluation of the programme, unless you opt out 
•    deliver services by providing business support services,  
•    monitor the programme. 
Who else will receive your information? 
We may disclose your information to the following organisations. 
Verian have been contracted to evaluate the Tech Adoption For Growth trial programme. If you do not wish to participate in the evaluation of this trial or for your data to be shared with Verian, please send an email containing your registered company name and a subject line “Opt Out” to techforgrowth@businesswest.co.uk. If you do not opt out, your personal information, such as your name, contact details, data you provide Business West about your business and platform engagement data, will be passed onto them for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation of the programme. Verian may also contact you to invite you to an interview with one of their researchers for the purpose of the evaluation.
Data may be shared with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) for the purposes of monitoring, evaluation and research related to the programme.   For full policy click here
