As we begin our Business West journey, we are proud to invite members and the wider community to a special charity event taking place at The Bath Priory on Sunday 29 June.
In support of Hospitality Action, the hospitality industry's charity, we will be hostingA Midsummer Night's Dream, an enchanting fundraising event designed to bring together hospitality professionals, local businesses and supporters for an unforgettable summer evening.
Hospitality Action provides vital support to people working across the hospitality sector. As a business operating within this industry, we understand the importance of supporting those who dedicate their careers to caring for others, and we are honoured to play a part in raising funds for this incredible cause.
Guests can expect a magical midsummer atmosphere within the beautiful grounds of The Bath Priory, with opportunities to connect, celebrate and contribute to a charity that has a meaningful impact on thousands of hospitality professionals across the UK.

On 1 June 2026, Digital ATA Carnets officially launched across the UK, European Union, Switzerland and Norway, marking a significant milestone for international trade. As Head of International Trade Services at Business West, I was keen to experience the process first-hand. So, when I travelled from Bristol to Paris hand-carrying professional equipment for a presentation at the International Chamber of Commerce, I used a Digital Carnet for the entire journey (the first in the UK).
