Six Months of Impact: How nLighten and Caring in Bristol Are Making a Difference Together

Six months into our partnership with Caring in Bristol, we're already seeing the impact—from helping fund programmes that prevent homelessness to donating surplus food from our Bristol event and committing our people to future volunteering and fundraising. At nLighten, we believe that being part of a community means contributing to its future. While we invest in digital infrastructure across Europe, we also believe in investing in the people and communities around our data centers.

That belief is why we partnered with Caring in Bristol earlier this year, supporting one of the city's leading charities dedicated to preventing homelessness through early intervention, practical support and community engagement.

Six months into our partnership, we're proud to see the real difference this collaboration is already making.

Supporting a City That Needs It

The latest Caring in Bristol Impact Report highlights the growing need for support across the city. During the last year alone, demand for homelessness support increased significantly as more individuals and families faced housing insecurity.

With support from partners including nLighten, Caring in Bristol has continued expanding its reach across Bristol, delivering programmes that help people before homelessness becomes a crisis.

Over the past year, the charity has:

• Supported more than 300 households through its weekly housing advice services.
• Welcomed over 3,200 visits to its Bristol Goods Food Clubs.
• Prevented housing crises through early intervention, advice and one-to-one support.
• Continued providing Bristol's only dedicated emergency accommodation for vulnerable young people.
• Delivered vital food, wellbeing and community support throughout the year and during the Christmas period.

These are not simply statistics. They represent families remaining in their homes, young people finding stability, and individuals receiving the support they need before reaching crisis point.

Giving Back After Our Bristol Event

Our partnership extends beyond financial support.

Following our recent Bristol customer event, the nLighten team donated surplus food to Caring in Bristol's youth programme, ensuring perfectly good food continued to benefit local young people rather than going to waste.

It was a simple but meaningful example of how sustainability and community impact can go hand in hand, while supporting one of the charity's important youth initiatives.

Looking Ahead

This is only the beginning.

The Bristol leadership team, together with members of nLighten's senior management team, has committed to strengthening the partnership throughout the remainder of 2026 through volunteering opportunities, fundraising initiatives and continued community engagement.
